REGION IV A: CALABARZON
Gerry’s Grill located at Alabang Town Center, Muntinlupa City, Philippines
Gerry’s Grill offers a wide variety of Filipino foods that are succulent and affordable. Their foods give a native Filipino taste. A comfort food for all!!
Having Region IV-A known as the Tagalog Region, the usual
food they would have are the ones served in our homes. They are also known for
the seafood – one of the favorites of a Filipino! I am certainly in love with seafood
that is why we ordered Kuhol and Tahong ala Pobre. It is very delicious and mouthwatering.
A must try if you like shellfishes!!

(Isn't it appetizing?)
Never will it come a time that a Filipino would say no to
Bulalo! This dish is one of the most ordered and loved of a Filipino. Almost all
Filipino restaurants have Bulalo in their menus. But the version of Gerry’s
Grill is one of the hooks! It is very tasty; you would taste the richness of
the meat. Very much enjoyed when it’s hot!
Bagoong Rice is another must try!!
Getting out of what we had in Gerry’s Grill. The Region also
offers different kinds of Adobo! (For sure this dish is always in households!)
The most common adobo I know is having liver in it! Though I don’t really like
eating liver, tasting this dish is lip-smacking!
Filipinos love eating desserts! Whatever they can make with
something sweet (and even putting it in rice), they would create them! And even give ridiculous names for any dish! (haha even once that are not pleasing to the ears)
Buko pies and Espasols are very familiar in this region. Even going to these regions, you would find them in every corner! Not to plug but the best buko pie I tried is the D' Original Buko pie! It is good to eat even if it is hot or cold! Other delicacies of this region are suman and bibingka. Good with coffee!!
As of what I see in this region, they are really in a good relationship with rice! A very Filipino tradition!
